Advancing AI in the Learning Ecosystem Through Standards
2026.04.10
Standards-Based AI Innovation for the Learning Ecosystem, edited by Frederic Andres, Teeradaj Racharak, Gerlinde Weger, Andreas Pester, and Chandrasekhar Anantaram, is an academic project that examines the role of standards, policy frameworks, ethics, and governance in shaping the responsible use of AI across the learning ecosystem.
The book argues that the successful integration of AI into teaching, assessment, learning support, and administration depends not only on technological advancement, but also on shared principles that promote transparency, equity, accountability, and alignment with educational goals. It presents a broader vision in which educators, learners, institutions, and policymakers work together to build trustworthy and inclusive AI-enabled environments. Through this perspective, the project highlights both the opportunities and the governance challenges of using AI to improve educational quality, accessibility, and personalization.
